All the tips you need for great meals... at home!

On the last article on this blog we welcome Mirror Selfies back. Today, we welcome back the banana breads all over the world.

Yes, is that time again!

This time, i'm not alone. I invited two of my best friends and, since we like to cook together by FaceTime, we are now sharing the tips that make us have fun at the kitchen these days.

I invited Celmar Restaurant's chef, Nikita Polido, and resin master artist, Joana Cidade, to help me gather the best tips for you to have a great time making (and enjoying) your meals at home.

GREAT TABLE SET: for me, Alexandra, my motivation comes from setting a great table. I love this routine, love to have flowers at the table, love beautiful tableware and pops of color, like the napkin rings made by my friend Joana. Even the simplest meals became a moment:

KNOW WHAT FRIENDS TO COUNT ON: I, Nikita, created Celmar Restaurante's Preserves with the need to make a 'lasting' expansion of the restaurant ... it is not a take away, it is something we can always have at home, whether for a simple meal (marinated mussel) or to give a special touch to something special (cardamom mustard) perfect to impress your family or friends in a FaceTime meal these days. Simple and tasty!

SUSTAINABILITY IS FUN: when I, Joana, was creating the rings you see above, as a collab with Life is a Mesh recycled fabric napkins, our goal was to create a product that brings sustainability to our tables, in a funny and vibrant way. I’ve been cultivating my passion for the exploration of materials, and the production of the napking rings brought me the possibility to explore bio resin as a new way of making. Now that we spend more and more time at home, why not make our tables shine bright with a hint of color?
